Welcome

Hi there, thanks for taking time to visit my blog. My name is Audrey Lewis, and I'm a busy Mom of 5 kids living in the Boise, Idaho area. I've always had a passion for taking pictures, but I really fell in love once I started having my own children. I realized how fast they grow up, and I wanted to capture every little moment I could so that I don't ever forget these precious years. I love photographing children, there's just something so magical about seeing the world through a childs eyes. I hope you enjoy your visit, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Sepia Conversions

My little girl is getting way to big! Anyway, this is my old sepia conversion, but I'm afraid that they look to black and white. So.....

I've had a bunch of people asking me if I could make their photos sepia, and so far it's been a little elusive for me. I've got the black and white down no problem. Last night I played around a bunch and come up with this sepia conversion. I would LOVE some feedback! Is it brown enough, to brown, not enough contrast? Can you tell a difference in the brown in these than the ones I posted up top? Any input would be great!!! Then I can start offering this as an option for people! (oh, and sorry, these are old photos, they worked good for testing things on).

This is another sepia conversion, a little less "chocolatey". Let me know which you prefer!

Again, these are all awesome photos! Glad you shared them again! That's funny that your original sepia looks more black & white. I love your first set of chocolatey sepia. It defitely looks more sepia and I love the rich browns!

That's funny Alison! I like the second set of sepia tones better. But you were right, the pictures of Abbey look more black and white. Gorgeous pictures as usual Audrey:)

HI Audrey! I love your work! Your baby girl is adorable, and I agree, looks a little too b&w, but adorable nonetheless!! LOL! I think the last 2 photos look just about right on for a sepia...I can get it to look decent on the computer, but then I have problems getting the sepia to print the way I want it to...it prints almost a bit too pinky...so I would take that into account as well....Thanks for sharing! You do such beautiful work!

I agree with what's been said. If I saw the first couple I wouldn't haved thought they were sepia.

i think they look great...your sepia is so clear. the auto sepia i have always has to be adjusted cause it looks grainy, but what you have done is very clear and pretty. i love b&w and sepia...almost any picture can look amazing when those are added. :) and yours always look great.

Hi Audrey, this is Katie (Hansen) Givens. When you get a second would you email me your phone number? I'm looking for someone to take pictures of my new little baby and my 2 year old. My email is ktgivens@gmail.com. Has Nicole had her baby yet?
