Welcome

Hi there, thanks for taking time to visit my blog. My name is Audrey Lewis, and I'm a busy Mom of 5 kids living in the Boise, Idaho area. I've always had a passion for taking pictures, but I really fell in love once I started having my own children. I realized how fast they grow up, and I wanted to capture every little moment I could so that I don't ever forget these precious years. I love photographing children, there's just something so magical about seeing the world through a childs eyes. I hope you enjoy your visit, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Happy Halloween!!!

From my sweet little pumpkin!

Halloween Costumes.....

I took the kiddos out to take a few pics of them in their Halloween costumes. Abbey would not smile. I don't know if it's because she was surrounded by Ninja's and Spidermen, but she just refused. Oh well, we'll try again tomorrow. Her big brother was supposed to be Peter Pan while she was Tinkerbell, but he opted (ok, demanded) that he be a cowboy instead. Maybe one of these days I'll actually get him into the Peter Pan costume and get a pic of the two of them together (although highly unlikely, ha ha!!!). Anyway, here's our little Tinkerbell looking oh so serious:

And my cool cowboy!!!

I tried to give these last two an "antique" sort of feel, but I'm not so sure it worked! Thanks for looking at what is quickly turning into a photo blog, not a scrappy blog. I really need to get scrappin!!!!

Just cuz they're cute.....

We went to the park tonight and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather. I know these aren't the most "technically great" photos, but I like them, just cuz they're cute. Thought I'd finally post some of my blondy, since I never get good pictures of him (unless you like his backside as he's running away from me).

Not portraits, but very him!!!

He's getting really good at catching.

My little sweetie.

Love her face on this one!!!!

I'm having way to much fun!

Just wanted to share a few more pictures! Love taking pics of teenage gals, they are just so fun and so willing to try anything. This little gal was telling me that she couldn't remember the last time she had her picture taken. She was the tiniest thing I've ever seen and just so cute! I hope she likes these! We just walked around her neighborhood and found fun spots.

Help!!!????

For some reason when I post these on my blog they just lose a lot of the quality. Am I saving them wrong? If anyone knows, please help!!! Anyway, here's a few more of the shoot I did the other night. These are much more in focus in person, and the colors are richer. Maybe I need to calibrate my monitor. Anyway, I would love some cc on these, I'm trying to learn!!!

I'm am in love with the colors on these next 2! Her shirt was perfect with the red leaves!

A Few More.....

So I photographed several young ladies last night, you're all going to be sick of seeing the pics over the next few days. I went through a few more today....this gal was just beautiful and couldn't stop smiling! They were so easy to photograph and I had a blast. Let me know what you think!!! I just loved her yellow shirt with the fall leaves and against the brick, it was perfect!

A first for everything....

So I had my first shoot for a teenager tonight! Crazy stuff! It was so much fun, and she is so beautiful!!! She wants to be a model, and couldn't have been easier to work with. I haven't gone through many of her photos yet, so I'm sure I'll be sharing more, but here are a couple I thought I'd share tonight. Any advice or cc would be welcome, but be kind, I'm still really new at this!!! Oh, and I have to say, I really love shooting teens! It's nice to have a cooperative subject every once in a while!

I love the fall colors on this one!

Oh, and while I'm at it, can someone tell me how to make a copyright sign for my pics? Thanks!!!

I love fall pictures!!!

I'm still trying to figure my camera out, and it's coming, slowly but surely. Manual mode is so much fun, and the best part is that I don't have to edit my photos much!!! I decided to play around with the fall colors, it was so much fun! Anyway, here are a few of my favorites:

Abbey turned 8 months old yesterday. She's finally got enough hair that I can put a bow in it! So funny!!!!

My handsome little redhead:

And my other handsome little red head. Couldn't get my blondy to cooperate, so you're only getting redheads today! I'm playing around with adding a vignette to my photos....still need soem work, but it's fun to try!

And my favorite. Isn't she sweet!

Getting back into the swing of things.....

So it's literally been months since I"ve had a chance to scrap. I know it's pathetic, but between having 4 young kiddos, church duties, and my dh starting his new practice, it's just had to take a back seat to everything else. Well, today I got a few extra hours in the afternoon and was determined to scrap. I sat down, and nothing. I didn't know what pics I wanted to scrap (and that's not for lack of having ones that need to be scrapped), I couldn't think of something I wanted to journal, I couldn't even think of an embellishment I wanted to use. It was pathetic! So instead, I started cleaning. You would think that would help, but still, nothing. I'm hoping this is something that will pass, cuz I really want to scrap!!! I did, however, manage to finally glue down a page that I've had sitting on my desk for ages. I'm not in love with it, and the scan is horrible (both sides use the same color cardstock, I'm not sure why it scanned weird). Thank goodness for Becky Higgins sketches, or I'd never get anything done!!! So here's to hoping I'll get back in the swing of things, and soon!!!!

Abbey:

I take way to many photos of this little girl!!!

I just can't help it, she's way to cute!!! I took these on my bed. Just stuck a white sheet behind her, and used natural lighting from my windows. Thanks for looking!

She always scrunches her nose when she smiles, too cute!!!

I was playing peek a boo with her when I got this one, I love how surprised she looks to see me!

And this is just a classic of her. She's such a thumb sucker and I just think it's so cute!

Pulling out the new clothes.....

I'm still having fun playing around with my new lens and manual mode. She's into a new size now, so it's been fun to have new clothes to put on her! She's got 5 teeth now, crazy!!!

My happy girl:

She makes such a funny noise when she gets excited, and this is the face she pulls every time she does it. I'm so glad I caught it on camera!
