Welcome

Hi there, thanks for taking time to visit my blog. My name is Audrey Lewis, and I'm a busy Mom of 5 kids living in the Boise, Idaho area. I've always had a passion for taking pictures, but I really fell in love once I started having my own children. I realized how fast they grow up, and I wanted to capture every little moment I could so that I don't ever forget these precious years. I love photographing children, there's just something so magical about seeing the world through a childs eyes. I hope you enjoy your visit, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

My sweet little niece

My super cute niece was blessed a few weeks ago. I was bummed we didn't have time to do an actual photo shoot, and I forgot to bring my backdrops and blankets. She's so cute though, that it was easy to get some good ones in our quick 20 minute time frame. Isn't her dress to die for! My oldest wanted to know why she was wearing a wedding dress, which totally cracked me up.

Here's my beautiful sister:

New Textures

I've been playing around in PSE and would love some opinions on my new textures. Is this something I should offer? Any input would be great!

Some fun new backdrop options:

This is to give pictures sort of an old antique feel to them:

And a couple other backdrop options I've been playing around with:

Oh, and since these are new, if anyone that I've taken pictures for all ready would like some of these done just let me know! Thanks!

Just for fun....

Poor Abbey, whenever I'm bored it's inevitable that I'm going to take some pictures of her. It's getting harder now that she's so mobile and has a mind of her own! Here's a few of my favs from this afternoon (which I took right before naptime...I should have known better).

These next two are soooo her! Lately she does this ALL the time. Thumb in the mouth, hand in the hair. And if I'm holding her, it's my hair she's clinging too. Pretty cute.

She just loves when Mom goes out and buys a new prop. You can tell she's wondering what in the world I've done to her. Lou was wondering what in the world I was doing when I pulled this thing out. He goes, "Isn't that for babies. I mean, SMALL babies? Abbey will never fit in there!" I was pretty pleased that I was able to stick my very mobile 1 year old into something she couldn't get out of, it cracks me up!

Then she decides maybe it's not so bad....

And then she realizes it's pretty funny that she can't get out of this thing. I just love this little girl!

So Cute!!!

I am just loving all these adorable little newborns that I've been able to take pictures of! Talk about some serious hair! How come my babies don't come out with a head of hair like all these little gals. They are just seriously adorable. I'm so lucky!

So this little family is just adorable. They were visiting from Utah and I felt really blessed that they asked me to do this for them. I still have a bunch of photos to go through but wanted to give Mom a sneak peek. What cute little kids. Their little girl was just a doll, and their little guy was just a ball of energy with tons of personality and the most amazing blue eyes. Mom was super patient, I'm sure she was here way longer than she wanted to be. Little "A" did not want to fall asleep or be put on her tummy. Now I know why newborn photographers tell you to bring them in before 2 weeks. But Mom was super sweet and worked hard to help me get some good ones. Hope it was worth it!

I love this little half smile on her face. So cute.
My new prop. This one just makes me giggle.

Striking a pose.

This little guy had so much energy, it was just like taking pictures of my own 2 year old.

So cute! Thanks Mom, hope you like them!

Just Playing around with my new backdrop....

I'm a horrible Mom. I bribe my kids. Not with money mind you, but with ice cream, or chocolate (what can I say, they're my blood, so of course those things are going to work on them). If any of them have weight issues when they're older they're totally going to blame me. I don't do it often. Only when I want some pictures of them. Can you tell their Mom takes way to many pictures?

Well, my sweet little Jake is turning 7 this month. I rarely get pictures of this guy. He's just to busy. When we went skiing the other day I kept trying to get pictures of him, but he's so fast that I would miss him everytime! He's like that with everything, just always on the move. It makes it tough to get a picture of this active kid. So on Sunday I had a little free time and my new backdrop, so I did what any logical Mother in my postition would do. I bribed my kid. This is what I got for one Cadbury Egg (I definitely got the better end of the deal!!!).

Isn't he cute! He's totally entering that awkward missing front teeth stage. It's so cute, because his new front tooth is huge. I just love it!

I love this one because this is such a classic look from him when something cracks him up.

Right as I was taking this picture he said, "Mom, REMEMBER, that Cadbury Egg thing? Can I have it NOW please?" He was totally done.

And this is my fav of them all just because it is soooo him! He's just so sweet and helpful. I'm so blessed to have this kiddo around!

And of course, I can't pull out my camera without taking a few of Abbey. She thinks it's so funny to pull off her hats and cute hairbows now. I can't keep them on her! Luckily I snapped this one right before she pulled it off.

This is her Christmas dress that I never got around to taking her to a studio to get pictures of her wearing it. I guess these will have to do.

What a complete cheeseball!

I just love her lips in this one. She looks so feminine to me!
