Welcome

Hi there, thanks for taking time to visit my blog. My name is Audrey Lewis, and I'm a busy Mom of 5 kids living in the Boise, Idaho area. I've always had a passion for taking pictures, but I really fell in love once I started having my own children. I realized how fast they grow up, and I wanted to capture every little moment I could so that I don't ever forget these precious years. I love photographing children, there's just something so magical about seeing the world through a childs eyes. I hope you enjoy your visit, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

New Backdrop

I have always struggled with liking my indoor pictures. I just love the colors and beauty of the outdoors. I think one of my other issues is the fact that whenever I use a white sheet I just hate the wrinkles!!! So I broke down and bought some white seamless paper. I've had it for 2 weeks now and have been dying to use it, but with sick kids I haven't had anyone that I could take pictures of! Well, Abbey is feeling better now and I wanted to take some one year pictures (I'm sure I'll be taking more tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that). I only had about 15 minutes to shoot, so I didn't get to nearly as much as I wanted, but I will just say that buying the seamless paper is the best $25.00 I've spent in a long time! I really love this stuff! It's soooo much nicer than a sheet!

Here are a few of my favs of Abbey:

Oh, and since some people have been asking, here's the info on my pictures: natural light, ISO 400, Shutter Speed 160, and Aperature was 2.8

The "T" Family

I'm back! Thanks for being patient with my lack of posting lately! I've been so busy editing pictures and with life in general and sick kids and sick me lately that I haven't had time. I will say that my house is much cleaner as a result of my lack of computer time though.

This family was seriously so cute! What a Mom, she's got 5 boys! I really thought that would be me someday, raising 5 boys, so I really just adored this family. Her boys were so cute and so sweet, I was really impressed with them. If I had a single sister, I'd totally be setting her up with one of these guys. It was cold and the sun was really bright when we took this pictures, so it was definitely a learning experience for me. They were troopers to brave the cold. They huddled under a blanket together in between shots. Anyway, here's a sneak peak for you Mom, hope you like them!

Finally a break from all my pictures.....

For those of you that think I've given up scrapping (I know, sometimes I really wonder myself). I just don't get a whole lot of "free" time these days! I guess 4 kids will do that to ya. I still want to scrap though. The desire is there, the time is not. My Mom was super sweet and watched the kids for me this week so that I could have some time for myself. I'll admit, I really should have cleaned! But I didn't. Instead, I scrapped. I finished another calendar page for my Mom, this is from our family vacation last September. We had a blast!

And I like it enough that I decided to make a layout for myself using the same design. I love PSE!!! I did everything in there, printed it out, and then just added my patterned paper and embellishments. Making photo collages really speeds things up! Speaking of collages, I made a very fun one for my wall, once I get it framed and up I'll share it on here.
